The day before my daughter was born, I walked into a store and bought a 360 degree camera. I didn't have a plan β I just knew I wanted to capture something I never wanted to forget.
Her first night in the world is something she can now go back and experience. Not just watch β actually be there. At six years old, she can look around the room, see her mom, see me, and feel like she's standing right there with us on the day she was born.
Since then, I've recorded countless family memories that we get to go back to and feel like we're living them all over again.
That's when I understood what this format could really do.
A few years later, she was too scared to ride some of the attractions at Disneyland. So I started recording them and letting her watch in VR first. Sometimes she'd still decide to sit it out β and that's okay. But sometimes she'd realize it wasn't as scary as she thought, and she'd go for it.
